With a background in education or a related field, you bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in early childhood education. Your strong communication skills enable you to connect with audiences of all ages, captivating them with your storytelling abilities. You possess a deep understanding of literacy principles and best practices in children's, teen, and adult programming, and you are committed to promoting learning and fostering creativity within the community.
 

What You'll Do

As a  Storyteller at the Orange County Library System, you will play a vital role in providing enriching experiences for our customers through storytelling and other learning programs. Your responsibilities will include selecting age-appropriate materials, preparing engaging programs, and conducting sessions for both youth and adult audiences. You will actively promote library services and the value of library cards while tracking program attendance and soliciting feedback from participants. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to integrate activities, resolve issues, and stay informed about new developments in the field. Upholding the Library System's mission and values, you will contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where respect, integrity, and excellence are paramount.
